About Our Cigars

Learn About Our Cigars

Boutique cigars are defined as being “created in smaller or limited batches, often from rollers who don’t own a factory”. Often the cigars are crafted for the cigar rollers themselves to smoke, using the choice tobaccos available. Sometimes the roller will share his/her secret blend with others, and often these “rollers choice” cigars are then discovered by the factory bosses, who bring the blend to the masses.

The Premium Cigar Lines offered by Tampa Bay Rollers, are no different. They were all crafted for either a cigar rollers personal enjoyment, or for limited guests at cigar rolling events. We now offer our small batch cigars to you. Enjoy.

An exquisite and unique cigar in both appearance and flavor, blending both Connecticut and Maduro wrappers, these cigars offer both a mild, and then later a medium bodied smoking experience. The entire cigar is rolled using Connecticut shade wrapper, then a San Andres Maduro wrapper is used on top of the last 2/3 of the cigar, creating a more flavorful finish. Where our tobacco comes from
Sourcing the finest tobacco in the world
Nicaragua
Nicaragua is located in Central America, south of Honduras and north of Costa Rica. Nicaragua is known for its fertile, high-yield cigar tobacco growing soils, as well as optimum tobacco growing climates. Esteli is a town in the northwest part of Nicaragua near the Honduran border, home of most of the cigar manufacturer's in the country. The Esteli region has a black and fertile soil which produces a heavy, full-flavored tobacco leave. Most tobacco from Nicaragua is dark with rich, full aromas, body, and flavor. It's well known in the cigar business that Nicaragua is one of the best tobacco countries in the world, and most of the fillers used in our cigar lines come from Nicargaua.
Ecuador
Ecuador is located in South America, surrounded by Columbia and Peru. Ecuador is known for its nutrient rich soils, excellent for growing cigar wrapper tobacco, which thrives in a world unique conditions of volcano ash and perpetual cloud cover. Most all of the cigar wrappers used in the blending of our cigar lines come from Ecuador.
Dominican
The Dominican Republic is a country located on the island of Hispaniola in the Greater Antilles archipelago of the Caribbean region. The soil conditions remind people of wet clay, or thick mud, and the climate conditions are ideal for growing Cuban Seed cigar tobacco plants. Since Dominican cigar tobaccos typically have bold and powerful flavors, the tobaccos grown here are mostly used for creating cigar blends, and not used as ``Puro`` cigar tobacco, meaning a cigar with only one country of origin tobacco. This is the case with a few of our cigar lines, as we use perhaps a single Domincan tobacco filler leaf to add the necessary flavor to blend our fine cigars.
